Step 2: Draw The Contours
Carefully pat off any excess lip balm and then outline your lips with a matching lip liner. It's especially important to start in the center of the lip and only lightly line there, Lucie emphasizes. Otherwise, the look can quickly resemble a clown.
For example, if you have a pronounced cupid's bow, you can draw a straight line to make your lips appear larger and fuller. Then, using small strokes, draw the lines toward the corners of your mouth (from the inside out or from the outside in), making sure to draw along your natural lip contour or the outer edge.
The same applies to the lower lip: you should only slightly overline your lips in the middle and stick strictly to your natural lip contour on the edge up to the corner of your mouth.

Step 3: Fill It In
Now you can fill in your lips with the lip liner, depending on your preference or the look you're after. Either blend the texture lightly with your finger from the outside in, or continue to line your lips with the liner for a more intense effect.
It's important to create smooth transitions here. You should be satisfied after this step alone – because lipstick isn't absolutely necessary for the color result, explains Lucie.
Step 4: Make It Glossy
As a final step, grab a reflective gloss that gives your lips a gorgeous shine. Apply it to the center of your lips as a highlight, making them appear larger.
