Sunscreen should be an essential part of your skincare routine. After all, UV rays can not only lead to premature aging but also cause significant damage to your skin.

It's therefore especially important to use sunscreen every day – regardless of the weather or the season. But sunscreen doesn't always have to be that thick, white milk that leaves a whitish film.

There is a wide range of special formulas for the face that can do so much more than protecting and also have a pleasant texture that is easy to spread.

What is the best sunscreen for the face?

Which facial sunscreen is best for you depends on your skin type and individual preferences. Different sunscreens are also perfectly tailored to different skin needs.

Sunscreens also differ in the filters they are based on – there are chemical and mineral UV filters. Both have their advantages: Mineral formulas are particularly suitable for sensitive skin, while chemical UV filters are more resistant to water and sweat.

Can I use sunscreen from last year?

Sunscreen lasts approximately twelve months after opening. However, this shelf life is reduced if stored improperly, as sunscreen should always be kept dry, cool, and protected. A bag at the beach isn't ideal, for example.

We therefore advise against using sunscreen from the previous year. Expired sunscreen can lead to mold growth or chemical reactions in the active ingredients, which can then cause skin irritation.
