Sun and heat increase the amount of air in your float. When it's fully inflated and you're enjoying a glorious day on the water in the summer sun, chances are your float will take on too much air and get a hole somewhere. When inflating, be careful not to get rid of all the creases (they will eventually go away). The float should be firm but not hard. Please note that the air in your float also shrinks in cold weather and water. For example, if you leave your float friend out overnight, he may wake up looking a little limp. This is perfectly normal. It only needs to be pumped up a little, and you're ready to spend the day together again.
Tip: Salt and chlorine can damage most materials. We therefore recommend rinsing the float in fresh water after use and letting it air dry. No soap is required for this. Keeping it simple will keep it looking new for much longer.

It is not a life support device. Do not leave child unattended while in use. Use only in shallow water under adult supervision. Store your float in a dry, cool place. We recommend deflating the float, drying it off and storing it in a dry, cool place when you're done swimming. Leaving your float inflated overnight isn't a disaster, but we recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight for long periods of time so your float can last a few seasons!
