When using a BHA exfoliant for the first time, introduce it slowly into your routine. Use every other day at first, then increase to once or twice a day depending on how your skin reacts. Place a small amount in the palm of your hand and apply the product to blemished or rough, bumpy areas. Be sure to use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 during the day.
