To make your mascara last as long as possible, avoid pumping the brush in and out. This allows air and bacteria to get into the bottle, causing the texture to spoil faster and become unusable. Also a no-go: wipe the brush at the edge. There the texture accumulates and dries up. When you pull it out, clumps get onto the brush and stick to the eyelashes. Better: pull out the brush once with a twisting motion, wipe off excess mascara on a soft facial tissue and apply with a zigzag motion. Then put the brush back into the bottle with a twisting motion.
